On the 9th of November we had a very early start to catch the 6:30 am train from Glasgow central to the school of Biosciences (University of Birmingham) to attend the BMSS Biomacromolecular SIG training event. The event involved hands-on training on latest instrumentation and fruitful discussions with Themo & Waters engineers. Rebecca was involved in training session covering introductory aspects of nMS.
On the 10th we attended the 2023 Biomacromolecular structure special interest group meeting at the Exchange where Ikhlas gave a talk titled “Ion mobility mass spectrometry unveils conformational effects of drug lead EPI-001 on the intrinsically disordered N-terminal domain of the Androgen Receptor”. The talk was well received with an excellent audience engagement. The meeting covered diverse research areas including supramolecular complexes, photosynthesis, and glycosaminoglycans. Overall, this meeting was a great opportunity to engage in discussions with experts in mass spectrometry.
